Lightning kills Miami man on New Mexico hunting trip (The Joplin Globe)

MIAMI, Okla. — A lightning strike during a New Mexico hunting trip claimed the life of a former Miami teacher on Sunday. Harry “Butch” Beggerly, 61, died shortly before 7 p.m. near Quemado Lake, N.M., as a result of what officials said might have been a direct lightning strike.
